Overview
The 5-Star Bush Lodge, just 45 minutes east of Port Elizabeth, offers a luxurious escape in the Amakhala Reserve. Set in an open valley surrounded by rolling hills and lush vegetation, this lodge blends perfectly with its natural surroundings. Tucked among the treetops, it features 8 private, en-suite tented and thatched suites, each with a viewing deck and plunge pool.
Guests enjoy amenities like air-conditioning, fireplaces, large baths, and alfresco double showers. The main lodge includes a comfortable lounge, bar, and outdoor boma for relaxing after a day of adventure. On-site spa treatments further enhance relaxation.
Amakhala Game Reserve, home to the Big 5 and diverse bird species, offers stunning scenery. Twice-daily game drives in open 4×4 vehicles allow guests to explore the reserve's natural beauty, with morning and late afternoon/evening expeditions included in the stay.

Bush Lodge
The luxury tents all have thatched roofs, tented walls and wooden decks with private plunge pool and overlook the watering hole. There are four luxury tents situated on either side of the main lodge where there is a communal swimming pool overlooking the open valley where animals can be seen roaming or inquisitive enough to graze closer to the lodge.

Built in the bush at the top end of an open valley in the reserve, each of the Double Luxury Tents overlook a watering point with sky views. All buildings are thatched roofs, tented walls and wooden floors.
