Burkleigh House is a 62 year old home which has been substantially altered in the light of its new found role as a first class Guest House.
The front facade has been wrapped in a large sunny veranda which is ideal for sun-downers as it over looks the bustle of the city from an austere elevation, with views of mature trees, an acre of gardens, lush rolling lawns and a sparkling pool.
The owners, David and Patricia’s passionate interest in the unique elegance of Victorian and Cape Dutch furniture, combined with their love of entertaining and gardening has created a special warmth and comfort, bound to leave its guests with a lasting impression, well worth revisiting. Each of the five luxury rooms are lavishly appointed with professionally restored antique furniture while still maintaining the standards of a luxury home away from home. The entire property is secured by electric fence and manned sentry post.
Make use of our lush gardens and lawn for an event or function where we can accommodate a marquee for up to 300 people.
