Karongwe – Becks Safari Lodge

Deeply connected with the location’s unrivalled backdrop, each air-conditioned safari suite boasts a high-impact design scheme incorporating both contemporary, bold visuals and elements from nature. A palette of silver, charcoal and elephant-grey ensures a relaxing and elegant setting to enjoy a secluded escape from the bustle of everyday life. The environment is both honoured and preserved, with the Lodge being carefully built around pre-existing trees to ensure as small a footprint as possible. This picturesque setting can be enjoyed from all angles, with private decks attached to each suite, a large main lodge deck, and a sunken fire pit all offering excellent game-viewing opportunities. Support of local art also plays a significant role, with impressive South African art being celebrated on a gallery display wall in the communal area of the lodge.

Karisia Tumaren Camp

Tumaren Camp is perfectly situated on the edge of a wide sweeping plain with panoramic views dotted with the iconic acacia tree. To the south, the landscape is defined by granitic inselbergs, rising up like islands on the savanna.

The grasslands are rich with wildlife, easily slip away the hours watching animals wander by or photograph the huge variety of birds coming to the bird bath in front of the sitting room.

The activities are endless, whatever your energy level, there’s an option to suit you. Go on guided walks, camel rides, rock climbing, picnics, visit the local markets, beading, school and homes or relax on a game drive should you wish.

For those feeling very active, you have the option of jogging escorted (where else in the world) or pedal out on a mountain ride bike like no other. The 20 metre lap pool looks out across the open plains and has a funky bar for those wanting a cocktail as the sun goes down.

Kambaku Safari Lodge

The establishment of Kambaku Safari Lodge began, as most things do, with a simple idea: that our most memorable moments are those we share with others.

When we eat together, laugh together – when we travel together, we create the kind of experiences that we’ll reflect on and call “the good times.” Kambaku Safari Lodge is a place designed for those good times.

Watch the organic radiance of the African bushveld unfold in a way that celebrates the spirit of community. Wild dogs, hippos, hyena – spot them as our seasoned game rangers reveal the indigenous diversity of the Timbavati Game Reserve.

Kambaku @ Sea

Kambaku @Sea is designed to showcase a mountainous panorama of lush vegetation that transforms with the passing of sunrises and sunsets. It’s a picture that will stay with you forever.

Head out for a sunset cruise or paddle out onto the crystalline waters of the estuary on a kayak. Shop for trinkets in the curio shop or escape into the pages of a book beside a comforting fireplace.

This is our brand of luxury.

Jozibanini Camp

Jozibanini Camp is situated in the remote south west of Hwange National Park in a wilderness unused for nearly 20 years; only the wildlife and the Parks rangers who look after it frequent this area, once roamed by San people. This is a small, truly exclusive camp in a truly wild place, providing a unique, untamed wilderness experience.

Ideally we recommend this as a standalone safari or a three night add-on for guests from Imvelo’s other Hwange properties; Bomani, Camelthorn or Nehimba. These special guests will be looking for adventure; the day-long transfer to Jozibanini will be a ‘pump run,’ resupplying waterholes en route, providing an opportunity for guests to get involved in the incredible game water supply program that is unique to Imvelo.

John’s Camp

John’s Camp is a semi-permanent tented camp situated within Mana Pools on Zimbabwe’s northern border with Zambia. The Zambezi River forms a natural boundary between the 2 countries with Mana on the southern banks. Declared a World Heritage Site in 1984, Mana Pools National Park is one of the most beautiful game reserves in Africa.  It offers some of the most outstanding walking in Zimbabwe.
