Huab Lodge

At Huab Lodge, guests are invited to unwind and embrace the peaceful atmosphere known as the “Huab Sound of Silence.” Set in the heart of the African bush, the lodge offers an immersive experience in nature, with stunning landscapes and a rich variety of wildlife and plant life.

 

The lodge features eight spacious 45-square-meter stone and thatch bungalows, accommodating a maximum of 16 guests, and one recently built Villa, which ideal for honeymooners. Each bungalow offers comfort and privacy, ensuring a tranquil stay.

 

Meals are shared at the family table with the hosts, where guests can enjoy a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and engage in lively conversations about the country and its culture. Free wireless LAN and high-speed internet are available in and around the main lapa, allowing guests to stay connected while enjoying the natural beauty that surrounds them.

Hondo Hondo Udzungwa Forest Tented Camp

Hondo Hondo is situated on the border of the Udzungwa Mountains National Park, close to the National Park Headquarters and main gate at Mangula. The lush green site lies on the border of the pristine rainforest and offers excellent views of the forest canopy, in which there are several species of monkey, including the endemic Udzungwa Red Colobus, the remarkable Sanje Crested Mangebey, and the Black and White Colobus. A number of different hornbill species fly in over the forest edge and settle in trees along the borders of the rainforest in large numbers every evening at sunset, and the valley echoes with their distinctive calls.
Hondo Hondo offers accommodation to suit all tastes. For those that enjoy a touch of luxury on an African rainforest adventure, there are six luxury en-suite tented rooms. For the budget conscious, there is the alternative experience of sleeping under thatch in the thatched hut village on the hill. For a night under canvas, there is a camping area where visitors can put a tent up and relax, with facilities that include a bar and restaurant as well as solar heated hot water showers and western style lavatories.

Hohenstein Lodge

The lodge is located on the bottom of the Hohenstein, the highest peak of the Erongo mountains. Measuring up to 2,319 m above sea level, the Hohenstein represents the impressive western edge of the Erongo mountain range. In the evening, spectacular sunsets above the desert plain bathe the mountain in fantastic red light. Towards the west, the view over the impressive scenery extends as far as the Spitzkoppe peak, a prominent relief from the plain in a distance of about 30 km.

Take a seat on the restaurant’s terrace and sip a cool drink while enjoying this spectacular view as well as the view down the valley dotted with ancient camel thorn trees. Having dinner in the restaurant or on the spacious terrace while watching game on the water hole is just as much a memorable experience. During the day, numerous birds can be seen.

If you stay a little longer, make sure to schedule day trips to Spitzkoppe, do some game and bird watching or go on extensive hikes. Well sign posted hiking trails are offered as well as mountain bikes for excursions on the farm grounds

Hlosi Game Lodge on Amakhala Private Game Reserve

Hlosi Game Lodge offers an all-inclusive, luxury family friendly accommodation, on a private malaria-free game reserve in the Eastern Cape. The lodge is set on a hillside above the Bushman’s River plain, providing a tranquil grassland retreat and an intimate safari experience with opportunities to see the Big Five.

Accommodation comprises four safari tents, four 2-bedroom safari tents, four Luxury Suites and two 2-bedroom suites, combining comfort with exclusivity. The tented suites provide an authentic bush experience while maintaining modern luxury.

On-site facilities include elegant dining areas, a lounge and library, a bar, shaded verandas overlooking the pool and watering hole, and a boma for traditional bush braais. A dedicated children’s program including a children’s lounge with games and books for younger guests, is available daily.

Two daily game drives are included in the rates at Hlosi Game Lodge, 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon.

The lodge can be booked exclusively for intimate weddings, team-building events, or small conferences. Activities on the reserve include game drives, bush walks, and bird / wildlife viewing.

Hemingways River Camp Mara

Designed with a light footprint and surrounded by natural beauty, the camp blends effortlessly into its wild surroundings. Each tented suite is positioned for privacy and panoramic views, while the central mess tent and bar provide relaxed, welcoming spaces to gather, dine, and share stories by the fire. Days are shaped by flexible game drives led by exceptional guides, and evenings unfold to the sound of the Maasai Mara, with elephants and hippos often wandering past camp and the river flowing gently nearby.

Hamiltons Tented Safari Camp

Set within a 10 000 hectare private concession this is truly the “Gem of Kruger”. Hamiltons Tented Camp was named after Colonel Stephenson Hamilton, who was instrumental in establishing the world famous Kruger National Park.

 Hamiltons Tented Camp epitomises luxury with an outstanding safari experience. Magnificent tented suites complete with teak floorboards, dreamy mosquito nets, slipper baths, private plunge pools and a superb view of the complete seasonal river, linked to the main lodge area by raised timber walkways amongst ancient Jackalberry trees.

 Uncompromising elegance and breathtaking beauty identifies Hamiltons tented Camp. Activities include Nomadic African Spa treatments and open vehicle safaris, where, guests will enjoy some of Kruger’s most spectacular landscapes and an extraordinary variety of wildlife, birdlife and plant life. Gryphon House

Gryphon House is a sensational 4 bedroom villa situated on a large property in Camps Bay. The modern decor with splashes of bold African art give this villa its charming personality. The house naturally flows from the kitchen and dining area to the living area and outdoor lounge. The private pool is perfect for cooling off after a long day of touring the city.

Governors’ Il Moran Camp

Governors’ Il Moran Camp is small and intimate, with added touches that place this camp at the top of the safari accommodation range. This is the camp for those who want that extra bit of luxury.

Hidden under ancient trees deep in the forest, are just ten tents which line the winding banks of the Mara River. Hippos wallow in the river waters below, elephants wander through camp and the night time is punctuated by hyena whoops and lion calls.

Each tent enjoys a private location from which to enjoy the beautiful and serene setting. The rooms are expansive and furnished to a superior standard. Beautiful recycled old wood furniture and muted natural tones are a natural extension of the environment around. Each stylish bathroom boasts a Victorian style bath, while a large verandah at the front is designed for relaxing in comfort within the peaceful surroundings.

Meals are served on the raised wooden decking of the main mess and dining tent which offers a bird’s eye view of the snorting hippos below. The main feature is a sunken fire pit which is lit with hot coals in the evenings – the perfect spot to sit back with a cocktail of your choice. Tales shared around the campfire are not uncommon, but neither is escap- ing into your own intimate and romantic safari getaway.

This camp has been awarded a GOLD Eco Rating by Eco-Tourism Kenya for our sustainable tourism practices in place.

Governors’ Camp

Governors’ Camp is Africa’s first permanent luxury tented camp, remaining in its original site since 1972. It occupies the best wildlife viewing location in the Reserve, nestled in the riverine forest along the winding banks of the Mara River, its waters teeming with bird-life, hippos and crocodiles. It is perfect for couples, families and friends wanting to experience the best of what a safari in the Masai Mara has to offer.

The entire camp is under canvas with all of the comforts of a luxury hotel. Some of the 24 tents line the riverbank, tucked into the forest they enjoy uninterrupted views over the Mara River, others have views across the sweeping plains of the Masai Mara. The tents are big, bright and allow in lots of natural light. All tents are classic safari style each with en-suite bathrooms and a private verandah. There is a bar tent with deck overlooking the Mara River and dinning tent with views over the plains.
