Accommodations

Singita Faru Faru Lodge

Situated in the western corridor of the legendary Serengeti, Singita Faru Faru Lodge overlooks a natural waterhole and the tree line of the Grumeti River. The nine stone, canvas and thatched suites (including a family suite and a 2-bedroom villa) have the air of a classic safari camp, yet the interiors offer the ultimate in contemporary chic with panoramic glass windows, mirrored room dividers and claw-foot baths.

Due to the natural watering hole on-site, guests needn’t ever leave, as here, the safari comes to you. The surrounding grassland is so awash with wildlife that guests can lounge in the swimming pool overlooking the waterhole, recline in the Lodge’s elevated viewing decks, or unwind in the comfort of your luxurious room and watch as predators and prey are drawn right up to the lodge.

Savanna Private Game Reserve

An exclusive 5 star lodge, Savanna is situated in the internationally famous Sabi Sand Nature Reserve within the greater Kruger National Park conservancy.

Savanna lies in an area where ‘Big 5‘ sightings are so frequent, it is not unusual to see lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino in a single game drive. Famous for having the best leopard viewing in the world, the Sabi Sand area is known worldwide as ‘The Land of the Leopard’.

Nine magnificent suites offer spacious and luxurious accommodation. Seven of the suites have tented roofs, blending the elegance of a by-gone colonial era with all the convenience of modern facilities. The beautifully appointed suites nestle amongst indigenous bush and trees that provide privacy, quiet and a haven for birds.

Specially designed game viewing vehicles and highly trained guides with vast knowledge of the African bushveld take guests on close and intimate encounters with a large variety of wildlife. Optional game walks are also offered to guests who would like to experience the fauna and flora on foot. Numerous nearby dams and a series of waterholes in front of the lodge attract many species, especially in the dry winter months when elephants are daily visitors.

Relaxation between game drives is important and what better way to unwind than with an invigorating massage. Savanna’s own qualified therapist offers guests a range of treatments in the privacy of their suites. And, if a little retail therapy is called for, a visit to the curio and gift shop should do the trick.

Savanna offers excursions to nearby places of interest and scenic beauty including the spectacular Panorama route and an African village. Here guests visit the school and a traditional healer or medicine man and learn about Shangaan culture and food. On a visit to an elephant sanctuary guests feed and ride the gentle giants. Golf can be arranged at Skukuza or the magnificent Leopard Creek course. These activities, with the exception of golf at Leopard Creek, take place between game drives so no meals or drives are missed. (Prices are available on request)

The lodge’s close-knit team of friendly staff provides personalised service with each guest regarded as a valued friend. From the moment they arrive guests feel part of the Savanna ‘family’.

Saruni Mara

Tucked into a secluded valley in the heart of the Mara North Conservancy, Saruni Mara sits on a hill where the indigenous forest gives way to sweeping views across the plains. The wildlife moves through the trees around you, grazes on the slopes below, and fills the air with a soundtrack.

We’ve kept the lodge small by design. Four cottages and two villas, each decorated to its own distinct theme; a luxurious, classic safari feel that feels personal rather than polished. When the day’s adventures wind down, guests gather around the fire, swapping stories as the darkness deepens and the stars take over.

Beyond the lodge, the Mara North Conservancy is one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildernesses. Community-owned and carefully managed, it borders the world-renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve but access is reserved exclusively for conservancy members. Fewer vehicles. Fewer footprints. The kind of encounters that feel genuinely private.

Your guides are Maasai warriors who have lived alongside this land their entire lives. They share with you a profound, gnerations-deep relationship with it. Walking with them, you begin to see the conservancy not just as a landscape, but as a living community of people and animals finding ways to thrive together.

Malewane Lodge at Royal Malewane

Malewane Lodge is where the story of Royal Malewane began in 1999. This was the first luxury safari lodge built and opened by the Biden family, and it has remained true to its quintessential classic safari style ever since. There’s a timeless elegance to the architecture that mirrors the ancient landscape that begins the moment you step into the bushveld.

This lodge offers the last word in luxury and personalised service, while at the same time, retaining its sense of place and authenticity. Malewane Lodge makes a striking statement, yet merges seamlessly into its surroundings. By combining moments of surprise and deep relaxation, time spent at Malewane Lodge adds up to the perfect safari experience. This is a modern take on luxury, where time, space and seclusion are the most important elements.

Leopard Hills Private Game Lodge

Leeu Estates

Leeu Estates, an exclusive five-star Premium boutique hotel property with 24 luxuriously appointed rooms and suites, takes central position on 78 hectares of vineyards, landscaped gardens and fynbos (indigenous vegetation) in the Franschhoek valley. Located between the mountainside and river, just minutes away from the village of Franschhoek, it is the ideal setting for an elegant and sophisticated private hideaway, offering superb comfort, fine dining and platinum service. At the centre of this working wine farm is the meticulously refurbished 19th-century Manor House with its six rooms and suites. There are two rooms adjacent to The Manor House, and the remaining rooms and suites are located in spacious cottages among the gardens, oak trees and vineyards.

An expression of love, the Bokkie Garden is very close to owner Analjit Singh’s heart. The Afrikaans word “bokkie” means small buck but is also a term of endearment used by South Africans, comparable to ‘beloved’ or ‘sweetheart’. Pivotal to the Franchesca Watson designed garden with its herd of small buck is ‘Reflective Resonance’ by acclaimed sculptor Angus Taylor. It is a powerful piece in bronze and Belfast granite that is set to become a Franschhoek landmark.

Dulini Leadwood

Much like the giant trees after which it is named, Dulini Leadwood takes deep root in the heart of all those who linger here. Dulini Leadwood rests amid mature riverine forest at the breath-taking confluence of the Sand and Mabrak rivers, offering guests an intimate and serene solace in a lodge that is seamlessly integrated into its exquisite setting.

Each of Dulini Leadwood’s four expansive suites boast separate, yet inter-leading, lounge, bedroom and bathroom spaces, with floor-to-ceiling picture windows framing the picturesque the Sand River. The décor is lavish yet contemporary, from stone walls and screeded floors to wrap-around picture windows allowing the bushveld views to flow in.

Sabi Sabi Little Bush Camp

Hidden in the shade of indigenous riverine trees, on the banks of the Msuthlu River, lies Little Bush Camp, the smallest and most secluded of Sabi Sabi’s 5-star lodges. With its subtle elegance and classic safari style, the lodge is an oasis of peace and tranquillity.

Little Bush Camp is ideal for exclusive use by small groups and friends. The lodge offers six stunning suites, featuring private decks overlooking the riverbed and surrounding natural bush. Meals are a delicious culinary experience, with dinners being served in the beautiful outdoor dining “boma” surrounded by natural bushveld.

Each widely spaced-apart thatched suite, complete with its king-size bed and romantic, draped mosquito netting, is individually styled using African artifacts, beautiful wooden furnishings and luxurious linens.

The deluxe en-suite bathrooms include both indoor and outdoor showers, while the new heated spa bath on each secluded deck offers a delightfully decadent vantage point from which to relax and enjoy nature.

Each tent has a romantic sala, private plunge pool, indoor bathtub and al fresco shower – all boasting sweeping Delta views.
