We offer three large Safari tents offering a relaxing retreat for couples or friends travelling together, featuring either a king-sized bed or twin beds. These tents combine the thrill of bush living with modern comforts, including air-conditioning, en-suite bathroom with both a bath and outdoor shower, and a private deck perfect for unwinding and soaking in the natural surroundings. From end 2026 we are upgrading these tents to Superior safari tents, which will be slightly larger and feature convenient sliding doors and will be fitted with mosquito nets.
While they won’t be as spacious as our Luxury Tented Suites, we are excited for the enhanced comfort and finish.
 
Our fourth and fifth tent are our Luxury Tented Suites designed to provide a more spacious and versatile accommodation experience, ideal for a romantic getaway or a family adventure with two young children. The one suite includes a queen bed with lounge area for relaxation, and the same high-end amenities as the Safari Tents: air-conditioning, an en-suite bathroom with a bath and outdoor shower, and a private deck, with a lovely sunlounger and comfortable chairs for unwinding at your own beautiful spacious deck. The other suite has the twin and king set up possibilities and again ideal for a more private or family set up.
 
Between the hours spent on safari, guests can relax on the pool deck area, enjoy a spa treatment, or simply choose to watch animals visiting the waterhole and surrounding bush with views of the Drakensberg mountains in the distance.
 
If guests are planning for a special occasion, we offer extra touches such as a complimentary sparkling wine, a romantic turn-down and a private dinner for two on our sky deck. 
 
For those travelling with little ones, we provide board games in the lodge and the option to go on a nature walk around the lodge as well as an outdoor swimming pool where they can cool off.

Our guide and tracker teams will not only find you incredible animal sightings but will interpret what you see with fun filled facts, underpinned by their exhaustive knowledge, passion and respect for nature thereby making certain your safari experience is an authentic one.

On the safari side, we have introduced our newly upgraded game viewers in a striking earthy brown, now fitted with camera swivels/mounts, USB-A and USB-C charging ports, entry/exit lighting, and an easy-access step. We can provide you with a private game viewer against an extra cost.

A variety of interesting, local tours are also available around the Hoedspruit area, including a private, guided day tour to the famous Kruger National Park itself. We provide lovely camp-based activities as well like our track and sign course and our spa treatments.

Championing Sustainability

We run on extensive solar with battery backup, hire and train staff from nearby villages, source food locally, and clear alien plants so indigenous vegetation can thrive. We share bush knowledge with guests and support local initiatives such as the Black Mamba Anti-Poaching Unit, helping protect our wildlife, and Daktari Bush School & Wildlife Orphanage, whose outreach empowers rural learners - we also employ Daktari graduates.
